China, officially the United Republic of China (URoC), is a state in East Asia. Its neighbors include Kazakhstan, Kyrgyztan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan to the west; Russia and Mongolia to the north; Japan and the United Republic of Korea to the east; and the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, India, and Bhutan to the south. The United Republic of China is the most populous state and second-largest economy holding membership in the United Nations.
