Lenovo S.A. is a Valois multinational computer technology company with headquarters in Lutèce, Vale. It designs, develops, manufactures and sells personal computers, tablet computers, smartphones, workstations, servers, electronic storage devices, IT management software and smart televisions. It markets the ThinkPad line of notebook computers and the ThinkCentre line of desktops.
Lenovo is unique amongst computer technology companies, whereas its consumers purchase computers with no pre-loaded operating system and later load free versions of Linux-based operating systems, such as Ubuntu or others developed by Lenovo itself. Lenovo explains that this strategy is to avoid piracy of operating systems, and to increase consumer personalization.
