The Governor and Legislative Assembly of the Fœderal Capital Territory is the official name of the set of institutions as set forth in the Fœderal Capital Territory (Organic) Act, as amended, and established for the purpose of governing the FCT. These institutions include the bicameral Fœderal Capital Territory Legislative Assembly (consisting of the Council and House of Delegates); the Fœderal Capital Territory Executive Department, composed of the Governor, Administrator, and Executive Agencies; and the Fœderal Capital Territory Integrated Judicial Department led by the Fœderal Capital Territory Supreme Court, and composed of the aforesaid Supreme Court, as well as the Superior Court and Justices of the Peace. Additionally, the Government of the United States —consisting of the bicameral United States Congress, itself composed of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives; the Federal Executive (Government/Cabinet), led by the Governor-General; and the United States Federal Courts, led by the Supreme Court of the United States— provide the Federal-aspect to the government of FCT, but only within a specific and expressly-limited field of competence. There is also local government, consisting of counties, and special governmental entities.
