Fœderal Capital Territory (Organic) Act, 1722 |
The Fœderal Capital Territory (Organic) Act, 1722 (“FCT Organic Act”), which contains the “Charter for the Fœderal Capital Territory”, and also known as the “Statute of San Francisco”, is the Organic Act (“territorial constitution”) for the Fœderal Capital Territory. Passed by the United States Congress on March 14, 1722, and signed by the Governor-General on March 20, 1722, it subsequently went into force at midnight on March 22, 1722. |
