The One Hundred Twenty-Second United States Congress is the current meeting of the legislative department of the United States federal government, composed of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives. It is the first Congress to meet under the new federal Constitution. The 122nd Congress assembled at the United States Capitol in the Fœderal Capital Territory on January 6, 1731, during the final months of Sharon Raydor’s presidency, and will end on January 3, 1733. It will meet during the first two years of the nominally-four-year term of the inaugural Governor-General of the United States, Robert Richmond.
