Kobol History[edit source]
So basically, we need to figure out the history of Kobol as a whole. I think we can work things out with Aegia being the "Europe" and "Gondwana" being the "Africa" + "Asia" somehow. If it goes that way, I think there'd need to be in a long period of time, a massive migration of the francophone population from the south (Missisipi Valley), towards the north. It can be from many reasons, including the advance of the "English" and other native tribes whatnot. Juls (talk) 14:51, 17 January 2014 (EST)
- We also need to figure out whether or not we are going to replace Kobol's physical geography with that of RL Earth (preferably without the environmental damage). :) Andreios (talk) 20:08, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
- As for "French", perhaps the francophone population used to be widespread throughout the continent, but partially died out (due to disease and mass migration to escape the diseased population centers, maybe?), leaving some regions of the continent devoid of human residents, to be "discovered" later by a different people(s)? Perhaps this could help explain the large distances between "French" speaking Orleans, Quebec, and Vale? Andreios (talk) 20:12, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
"France"[edit source]
Since there is no "France" on Kobol (the location where France would have been is part of Andi's Judeo-Viking Commonwealth), I was wondering if anyone would object to having Vale and/or Quebec taking the place of "France"? Andreios (talk) 16:07, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
Colonialism[edit source]
I am wondering how everyone feels about Kobol having or not having gone through a period of imperialism/colonialism (or going/not-going through one at present)? Andreios (talk) 16:07, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
Languages[edit source]
As there are a lack of certain countries and their titular language(s) (e.g., "France" and "French", represented by "Valë"/"Valais" and "Quebec"/"Quebeçais"), I think we need to come up with new histories of language development, including who/what/when/where/why/how. Andreios (talk) 16:07, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
"Spanish"[edit source]
Since there is no "Spain", for the same reasons as there is no "France", I am proposing that the "Spanish" languages be called "Mexica (language)" instead. The history of how and where Mexica came to be is yet to be determined. Andreios (talk) 16:07, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
"English"[edit source]
As there is no "England", I am proposing that the "English language" be manifested as the "Aegian language". The history of how and where Aegian came to be is yet to be determined. Andreios (talk) 16:07, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
- I thought maybe the "English" language would become the galactic Basic. Juls (talk) 14:47, 17 January 2014 (EST)
"French"[edit source]
It really depends on where we're going with the global history. Juls (talk) 14:48, 17 January 2014 (EST)
