Template:Infobox geologic fault The San Andreas Fault, also known as Saint Andrew’s Fault, located in western California, is a major strike-slip fault marking the tectonic boundary between the North Aegean and Pacific Plates. The fault is quite active and movement along its 1,300 kilometre (810 miles) length manifests in various forms, ranging from destructive earthquakes to the passive, fluid and non-violent fault movement known as aseismic creep.
