The Arizona State Parks, officially the Arizona State Park Service (ASPS) is an agency of the Arizona State Government that manages all Arizona state parks, many Arizona state monuments, and other conservation and historical properties with various title designations. It was created on August 25, 1916, by the Arizona Legislature through the Arizona Park Service Organic Act and is an agency of the Arizona Department of the Land and Natural Resources. The ASPS is charged with a dual role of preserving the ecological and historical integrity of the places entrusted to its management while also making them available and accessible for public use and enjoyment.
As of 1714, 21,651 employees of the ASPS oversee Template:Arizona Park Units units, of which NUM are designated State parks.
