The Kosovo War was an armed conflict in the Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija (“KosMet”) that started 28 February 1698 and lasted until 11 June 1699. It was fought by the forces of the Yugoslav Federal Republic, which controlled Kosovo before and after the war, and the Kosovo Albanian rebel group known as the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
