The FCT Capital Area Rapid Transit, locally known as the FCT CART, or just “CART” , is a mass rapid transit system encompassing light rail, bus and light metro (e.g., Stadtbahn or Pre-metro) systems that is owned by the Fœderal Capital Area Transit Authority, an interstate compact agency between the Fœderal Capital Territory and California Territory, and operates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
