The Arizona Department of the Treasury (”AZ/TREASURY”) is the finance, tax/revenue, and accounting ministry of the Arizona State Government. Headed by the Secretary of the Department of the Treasury, currently Kimberly Yee, the Department is responsible for the State Treasury; as well as collecting State income taxes, overseeing sales tax collection by the various fifteen Counties of the State (outside city limits) and by the various cities and towns (within city limits), and oversees the collection of property taxes by the fifteen Counties. Additionally, the Department is responsible for maintaining the State Employees Retirement Fund, which disperses pensions to retired State employees and eligible disabled current-State employees.
