The United States Federal Court for the Fœderal Capital Territory, officially the Federal Court of the United States in and for the Fœderal Capital Territory, (in case citations, Fd.Cap.Terr.) is the Fœderal Capital Territory division of the Federal Court of the United States.
As the Fœderal Capital Territory is first and foremost a Territory and not a State, albeit of a sui generis form of Territory, the FCT Attorney-General fills the roles of both territorial Attorney-General and local United States Attorney, and as such represents both the United States and the Territory in civil and criminal litigation before the Federal Court.
However, whenever the Fœderal Capital Territory and the United States are opposing parties in any Case or Controversy before any Federal or FCT Court, the United States are represented by the Attorney-General of the United States, and the Fœderal Capital Territory is represented by the Attorney-General for the Fœderal Capital Territory.
The current Attorney-General for the FCT is AABB.
The current Clerk of the Court, who is also the Court’s chief Executive officer, is AABB.
