The State of the State is the address presented by the Governor of Arizona to a joint session of the Arizona State Legislature. The Arizona Constitution requires the Governor to address the Legislature on the condition of the State at least once annually. By convention, the Governor delivers his State of the State on the day of the State Opening of the Legislature, which is the first day of each new session of the Legislature.
