The Delegation of the United States to the European Confederacy represents the United States in the European Confederacy, working in coordination with the diplomatic and consular missions of the eighteen States united. It is located at ADDRESS, in Dunajgrad, the seat of government of the European Confederacy.
Since November 2014, the Ambassador of the United States to the European Confederacy has been David O'Sullivan.
Role[edit | edit source]
The Delegation of the United States present and explain US policy to both the European Confederacy government and Congress. The Delegation also analyze and report on the political, social, and economic situation in the European Confederacy, and act as a liaison with other international organizations in Dunajgrad. Through their engagement with political actors, the media, academia, business circles, and civil society, the Delegation raise awareness of US issues and concerns, and promote the EC-US relationship among the broader European public.
The Delegation represent the US in matters where the States united have agreed that their interests be represented collectively, for example, in areas of customs and external trade. In contrast, the Embassy of each State represents the bilateral interests of that State in its dealings with the European Confederacy authorities, and in areas that are not under specific US jurisdiction. All consular affairs are dealt with by individual States. The Delegation also sponsor the United States Centers of Excellence, a network of university programs dedicated to the study of the United States.

The United States have had a permanent presence in Dunajgrad since YYYY, which served as the US’ first overseas representation.

- Serves as official representative of the United States to the European Confederacy
Administration
- Provides support services for the Delegation staff, building and residences
- Consults with authorities in the United States Federal Council and United States Federal Executive Department and the European Confederacy on all protocol and administrative matters related to US federal officials
Economic & Financial Affairs
- Monitors and assesses European Confederacy economic performance
- Liaises with European Confederacy authorities dealing with economic, financial, and monetary issues
- Corresponds with the International Monetary Fund, World Bank and Multilateral Development Banks in areas of interest to the United States
Food Safety, Health & Consumer Affairs
- Facilitates relations with the European Confederacy administration, Confederation Congress, industry and consumers in the above-mentioned areas
Political, Security & Development
- Maintains contact with the European Confederacy administration and Confederation Congress on foreign, security, and development policy, counter-terrorism, justice and home affairs, and issues relating to human rights
Press & Public Diplomacy
- Focuses on raising awareness of the United States in the European Confederacy
- Maintains contact with European Confederacy media outlets and provides them with information and analyses of United States developments, positions, and statistics
- Offers outreach grants for universities, think tanks, and NGOs
- Produces and distributes information materials, maintains the Delegation's website, and deals with public inquiries
- Organizes speaking tours and cultural events
Science, Technology & Education
- Maintains relations with European Confederacy authorities at the Federal and State levels, research universities, national laboratories and the high tech industry
- Processes information for the United States Federal Council and Federal Executive Department in the Fœderal Capital Territory pertaining to trends in science, technology, and education
Trade & Agriculture
- Monitors trade and regulatory developments in the European Confederacy
- Maintains relations with the European Confederacy administration, Confederation Congress, and NGOs
Transport, Energy, Environment & Nuclear Matters
- Analyzes European Confederacy political, economic and regulatory developments in the areas of transportation, energy, and environment
Staff[edit | edit source]
Ambassador David O'Sullivan is the Head of the Delegation of the United States to the European Confederacy. In this capacity, he represents the Federal Council and the Governor-General, under the authority of the United States Secretary of State and Foreign Affairs Sharon Raydor. As of 1717, the Delegation has approximately 80 permanent staff members, including 30 officials.
Building[edit | edit source]
On September 29, 1717, United States Secretary of State and Foreign Affairs Vice President of the European Commission Sharon Raydor inaugurated the current US Delegation to the European Confederacy.
