The Banque du Val or BDV (Aegean: Bank of Vale) is Vale's central and state-owned co-operative bank as well as the largest bank in Kobol, by assests. The bank's headquarters are in Lutèce. BDV has a network of 5,480 branches and 18,930 banking machines in Vale. Commonly known as La Banque, or The Bank, it operates under a strict and highly regulated command to manage Vale's currency, money supply, and interest rates, thus acting as a central bank, plus managing private finances from house mortgages to business loans and investments. The bank's founding principle is to provide the Valois people with banking and financial services to meet their needs and make profit for the population. Profits made by the bank go to the central government, and thus back to the population. It is a unique banking system in Kobol, whereas the government and population take an active role in their country's banking system and where the public interest is prioritized.
